3D Wire-frame Object-Modeling Experiments for Video Surveillance

چکیده
We consider model-based object detection for traffic surveillance, aiming at object classification. Within detected regions-of-interest (ROIs) of moving objects in the scene, the orientation of the object is detected using a histogram of gradient directions. For the calculated orientation, a 3D wire-frame model is projected onto the image data and the best matching pixel-position is calculated inside the

Unsupervised Learning for Incremental 3-D Modeling
Learning based incremental 3D modeling of traffic vehicles from uncalibrated video data stream has enormous application potential in traffic monitoring and intelligent transportation systems. In this paper, video data from a traffic surveillance camera is used to incrementally develop the 3D model of vehicles using a clustering based unsupervised learning. Geometrical relations based on 3D gene...
متن کاملCalibration of a Ptz Surveillance Camera Using 3d Indoor Model
Security monitoring, event detection and tracking of people are a few of the well-known applications for indoor video surveillance systems, but mainly they are accomplished by visual inspection of the images. There is need to integrate visual surveillance systems with 3D geospatial data to semantically improve interpretation of scene dynamics which is challenge in 2D image analysis. In this stu...
متن کاملExtending SAR Image Despckling methods for ViSAR Denoising
Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) is widely used in different weather conditions for various applications such as mapping, remote sensing, urban, civil and military monitoring. Recently, a new radar sensor called Video SAR (ViSAR) has been developed to capture sequential frames from moving objects for environmental monitoring applications. Same as SAR images, the major problem of ViSAR is the pres...
متن کاملStructure From Motion for Real-time 3D Head Pose Recovery
This paper presents a robust and recursive means of tracking and modeling faces in near-field video sequences. An Extended Kalman Filter is coupled with a generic wire-frame face model and a correlation based 2D tracking process, providing a recursive means of recovering simple camera geometry, head pose and object structure. Head pose parameters are used to animate the texture-mapped face mode...
متن کاملOctree Voxel Modeling with Multi-view Texturing in Cultural Heri- Tage Scenarios
Reconstruction of 3D models of real world scenes and objects and photo realistic rendering in interactive free viewpoint applications is a challenging task combining image processing, computer vision and computer graphics. In this paper, we present a reconstruction pipeline for cultural heritage applications. Starting with a number of photographs of a scene, calibration information is obtained ...
